About a week ago I rearranged my whole desk. It’s sort of funny how set you can get, working in a certain way, with things in a certain place. It’s sometimes difficult to imagine that there might be a better way until you move a few things around.
Now I have a new keyboard, the position of my drawing tablet doesn’t strain my shoulder, and my monitors are all at a very neutral height. I even have more desk space, which is interesting since I have all the same stuff on my desk. Maybe even more.
I don’t think that my set up is ergonomically perfect or anything. I probably still have a ways to go before I have everything set up for every situation, but this is the place I make art, code, write, and play games. Having the space be more comfortable will always be a priority.
But that leads me to questions. What would be better? What do I already have that I’m not using well? What could I assemble or move or get that would make the space better? I don’t really know, but now that my desk is so much better than it was, I find myself asking these questions a lot more often.
My new keyboard is really nice.
